The Northside Eagles captured the 3AAAA Region Championship with an overwhelming 61-13 victory over the Stockbridge Tigers. The Eagles finish the regular season at 10-0, the eighth consecutive year that the Eagles have posted at least 10 wins in a season. The victory also marked a milestone for Coach Conrad Nix - 250 career wins. Senior Byron Hunter finished his regular season at the end of the second quarter as the coaches played everyone on the roster in the second half. Byron ran the ball 12 times for 130 yards and 4 touchdowns in the first half to lead the Eagle offense. Marques Ivory started at quarterback for the Eagles and completed 7 of 12 passes for 96 yards and 1 TD.
