The Eagles wasted no time in the Thursday night contest with sub-region foe Hardaway. Eight seconds into the first quarter, Jacobi Rodriguez hit Kevyn Cooper down the middle for a 48 yard TD pass. The offense featured an efficient and balanced attack as they rushed for 229 yards (3 TDs) and passed for 166 more(3 TDs). Versatile offensive lineman Jerome Bates was pressed into duty at tight end due to injuries, and Jerome capitalized on the opportunity when he hauled in a short bootleg pass and rumbled up field for a 39 yard gain.
Not to be left out of the fun, the Northside defense posted their 2nd straight shutout and 3rd of the season. The shutout was preserved in the 4th quarter by a very spirited effort from all its backup defenders.
The Eagles now prepare for a big sub-region showdown with the Westside Seminoles Friday night in Warner Robins.
