The Eagles season ended tonight at the hands of the Newnan Cougars by the score of 24-0. It marks the first time the Eagles have been shutout since 1997 by the Peach Co. Trojans. It is the first time in the playoffs to go scoreless since 1990 against the Wildcats of Valdosta. The games against Newnan was marred by numerous turnovers. The first one would be to Northside's advantage as they picked off an errant pass by quarterback Tyler Horne. The Eagles failed to capitalize however and turned the ball over on downs to the Cougars at the 34 yard line.

The defensive unit for the Eagles played a good game and forced the Cougars to punt on their possession but the punt was fumbled and Newnan was in business at the Eagle's 17 yard line. Quarterback Tyler Horne would score on a 1 yard run to put the Cougars up 7-0 with 2:05 left in the first quarter.

After swapping punts, Northside took over on the 41 yard line but was held on downs again. The Northside D once again forced a Newnan punt, but again the punt was fumbled and the Cougars took over on the Eagle's 11 yard line. Newnan kicker Kyle Sherman booted a 29 yard field goal out of this mistake and the Cougars went up 10-0 with 1:29 left in the first half. After receiving the kickoff, Northside tried in vain to score in the first half, but a Ferlando Williams pass was intercepted by Renaldo Warner and returned for a touchdown. This gave Newnan a 17-0 lead going into the locker room.

Newnan received the 2nd half kickoff and the Eagle D once again held their ground as Lee Butler intercepted a pass for the boys in blue. This, however would result in another turnover as Northside fumbled the ball right back to the Cougars. This fumble was returned for a touchdown to put the Cougars up 24-0 early in the 3rd quarter. The Eagle offense would never get started in this game as they tried valiantly to get on the scoreboard to no avail. They turned the ball over on downs 3 more times and fumbled once more.
