The Eagles finished off their regular season with a perfect 10-0 record as they defeated their crosstown rvals, the Warner Robins Demons by the score of 37-16. The action in this contest was quick as Northside kicked off to the Demons and Alton Sanders returned the kickoff 99 yards to put the Demons up 7-0 with 14 seconds gone off the clock. The Eagles answered right back with a 55 yard drive that culminated with a Ferlando WIlliams 5 yard TD run as Sean Mayo added the extra point to knot the contest at 7.
Warner Robins was forced to punt on their following possession and the Eagles also failed as they turned the ball over on downs at the 31 yard line. The Eagle defense reacted positively as Jarvis Williams picked off a Tucker Pruitt pass on the 16 yard line. The Eagles would go up 10-7 as Sean Mayo connected on a 24 yard field goal. The Demons answered on a 21 yard Jake Grube field goal to tie the score again at 10 all.
The Eagles immediately scored a go ahead TD as Ferlando WIlliams connected with D'Anthony Harris on a 53 yard scoring strike. The extra point was missed and the Eagles led at halftime by the score of 16-10.
Northside took over in the 3rd quarter offensively and defensively. Ferlando Williams scored on a 5 yard run and Rodrick Hayward found paydirt on a 6 yard run to put the Eagles up 30-10 at the end of the 3rd period. Meanwhile, the defense forced 3 punts and no first downs during the 3rd quarter.
Northside scored for the final time at the 10:06 mark as Ferlando Williams threw a 16 yard TD pass to Rodrick Hayward. The Demons countered with trickery as they were successful on a long run with a fumblerooskie play and reverses to score their last TD of the season.
The perfect 10-0 season is the 5th in the history of the Eagles.
