The Eagles clinched their 6th region championship in dominating fashion against the Henry Co Warhawks tonight by the score of 69-0 in front of a large Homecoming crowd. Henry won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff. After 3 plays, they punted to the Eagles and Northside took over on the 43 yard line. Rodrick Hayward took the handoff and scampered 57 yards for a one play touchdown drive. Sean Mayo added the first of his 7 extra points. After another Henry punt after 3 plays, the Eagles took over on the Henry 32 yard line. The boys in blue wasted no time as quarterback Ferlando Williams connected with D'Anthony Harris on the first play for a 32 yard TD.

After another "3 and out" for the hapless Warhawk offense, the Eagles would get the ball on the Henry 37 yard line. Once again, Northside scored on the first play as Brandon White found the end zone on a 37 yard run. With the Eagles now up by the score of 21-0 with 7:14 still remaining in the first quarter, Lee Butler picked off an errant Henry pass and scored on a 45 yard Int return. On the Eagles next possession, Rodrick Hayward scored on a 10 yard run to put the home team up 35-0 with 3:34 STILL remaining in the initial quarter.

The next TD would come just 10 seconds into the 2nd quarter as Brandon White again scored on an 8 yard run. QB Ferlando Williams would connect with Brandon White on a 6 yard TD pass to wrap up the first half. The Eagles now lead by the score of 49-0.

The second half would feature a lot of 2nd and 3rd string players who still found success. QB Jaustin Rios threw a 7 yard TD pass to Eddie Hunt and Rios added a 1 yard TD run to make the score 62-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter. QB Patrick Spears would get the last TD of the night on a 7 yard run as Steven Johnson added his 2nd extra point of the night.

The defense played extremely stingy as they kept the Warhawks out of the end zone for the team's 2nd shutout of the season despite playing a lot of backup players in the 2nd half.
