The Eagles took the opening kickoff in this match and failed to get a first down on their initial possession. After swapping punts with the Morrow Mustangs, Brandon White scampered 39 yards to put Northside on top early. Sean Mayo added the extra point to put the Eagles up 7-0. About 1 minute later, Albert Howard would intercept a Mustang pass and return it 23 yards for the 2nd score of the night for the Eagles. Mayo again booted the point after to make the score 14-0 at the 7:53 mark of the first quarter.
Northside added a 3rd score with 29 seconds remaining in the first half as quarterback Ferlando Williams hit Greg Wallace for a 59 yard strike. Mayo (as usual) added the extra point to put the Eagles up 21-0 at the end on the first half. Brian Holder had a very nice first half as he intercepted a pass and rrecovered a fumble. The defense overall proved that they could stretch without breaking as they allowed the Mustangs to move the ball at times but would not allow them to get into the end zone.
Special teams shined in the 3rd quarter as they forced the Morrow punter to run rather than punt to set up great field positions for the offense on three consecutive punt attempts. Rodrick Hayward scored on the first play after the initial special teams play as he scored on a 21 yard run. After another great play from the special teams forced the punter to run, Brandon White scored on a 26 yard run. Morrow fumbled the next kickoff and Rodrick Hayward scored again on an 11 yard run. On the ensuing Morrow possession, the Eagles special teams again tackled the punter and the offense took over on the 2 yard line. At this point, there was mass substitution and Mike Tye scored on the first play from 2 yards out. Steven Johnson added the extra point to put the Eagles up 48-0. Due to the field position that the special teams created for the offense, the Eagles on 6 plays scored 4 touchdowns!
Sophomore David Everitt adeed a 6 yard TD run at the 5:35 mark of the fourth quarter and Johnson added the extra point to put the Eagles by the score of 55-0.
